Journalist Shot in Bihar even after Senior Journalist Gauri Lankesh Assassination

Two days after the assassination of senior journalist Gauri Lankesh, a local journalist was shot by two miscreants day after day in Arwal district of Bihar. Journalist Pankaj Mishra works for the National Sahara Newspaper. Right now the condition of the journalist is being described as critical.

According to Arwal district superintendent of police Dilip Kumar, Pankaj Mishra was attacked when he was carrying cash of one lakh rupees from the bank. Attacker motorcycle rider both the criminals are being told in their village. One of the shooters has been arrested. The SP has also termed the matter as mutual hostility.

On Tuesday, some miscreants had shot and killed Kannada senior journalist Gauri Lankesh. Gauri Lankesh was published a weekly magazine of Kannada language. In her journal, she used to oppose Hindutva politics and communalism. She also targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Bharatiya Janata Party.

In her last article, Gauri also targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi, his minister, Bharatiya Janata Party, their leader and RSS over the fake news. Gauri had said that RSS and BJP people are spreading lies through Fake News.

There were protests in different parts of India after the assassination of Gauri Lankesh. People have described the assassination of Gauri Lankesh as an attack on Indian democracy. People protesting against the assassination of Gauri Lankesh have demanded to arrest the accused as soon as possible.
