Uttar Pradesh: Boiler pipe blast in NTPC plant of Rae Bareli, 10 dead, 70 injured

A big accident has happened in Rae Bareli in Uttar Pradesh. A boiler pipe of a unit of 500 Mw was broken at NTPC plant around 4 PM on Wednesday evening.

Ten people were killed in this accident. While 70 people are seriously injured. There was an atmosphere of confusion during the incident.

According to officials, the number of dead and injured may also increase. The incident of the burning of most people has been revealed in the incident. All have been admitted to the district hospital for treatment. CISF arrived at the spot on the information. While nearby district of Pratapgarh and the fire brigade and ambulances of the district were called for relief and rescue work. At present NTPC management has not said anything about this.

Uttar Pradesh's ADG (law and order) has confirmed 10 bodies and 60-70 people injured in the incident.

At the same time, Union Health Minister JP Nadda has talked to the health minister of the province in connection with the accident. He has also issued instructions to all possible help to the Union Health Secretary.

UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has ordered the state's principal secretary home to reach the spot after the accident. He also tweeted about this and said that the injured should be treated in priority PGI based Lucknow. The state government has announced compensation of Rs two lakh to the family members of the deceased, Rs 50 thousand to the seriously injured and Rs 25 thousand to the injured.
