In India, the Supreme Court issued a notice to the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday for the inflammatory speech given in 2007.

According to the news agency Vaarta, the Bench headed by Chief Justice Deepak Mishra has asked Yogi Adityanath to tell him why he should not be prosecuted in this case. In this case, the Allahabad High Court has already gave relief to the seven people, including the Chief Minister.

In this matter, the petitioner told the apex court that the case was dismissed in the High Court without hearing his favor.

It is worth mentioning that in 2007, there was a dispute between two parties in Gorakhpur. Later the dispute grew so much that a man named Rajkumar Agrahari was murdered. Later the matter increased and it took communal form. It is alleged that the then MP from Gorakhpur Yogi Adityanath gave a provocative speech, after which the riots broke out.
