On the advice of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) in the fake degree case, Delhi University student union (DUSU) president, Ankiv Basoya, resigned from his post on Thursday. After Ankiv's resignation, NSUI has demanded to hold elections again.

According to the information, difficulties of Ankiv Basoya has increased in case of fake degree. ABVP had asked Ankiv Basoya to resign from the post of DUSU president today. ABVP said that they have suspended from all the responsibilities of the organization till completion of the investigation.

Let us know that Ankiv Basoya won the election of Dusu President in September, 2018. After the election, the NSUI had demanded from DU to remove Ankiv from the post of president immediately after questioning the authenticity of the bachelor's degree from Tiruvalluvar University. ABVP has won three posts in DUSU elections, whereas NSUI won the election on one post.

The National Media Coordinator of ABVP Monica Chowdhury said that this issue was only in the discussion since being elected as the President of the DUSU of Ankiv. At that time ABVP had made it clear that the University of Delhi has all the powers to check the authenticity of the documents and to prevent all rumors, it should be examined. ABVP has always worked in the welfare of the students and does not support any kind of fraud.

Keeping in mind the struggles, feelings and expectations of the students, and to maintain the reality of the Delhi University Students Union, ABVP has asked Ankiv to resign from his post and till the completion of the verification process by the DU, All responsibilities have also been removed.

When the NSUI asked Ankiv Basoya to abduct ABVP to leave the position of DUSU President, it was welcomed by delaying the decision taken by it. At the same time, the NSUI has demanded to conduct the Dusu elections again.

NSUI official, Ruchi Gupta, said that seeking the resignation of Ankiv by ABVP, before the High Court's decision to come on November 20, which was declared disqualified, is not a step taken on the basis of any morality, but it is clearly under pressure taken decision. It is an attempt to rescue the sorry by ABVP.

NSUI said it is clearly brutal and horrific to say that ABVP's resignation from Ankiv on the completion of the 2-month deadline set by Lyngdoh Committee's guidelines for the re-election.
