Will Covid-19 vaccine be received in early 2021?

 27 May 2020 ( IBTN News Bureau )

Professor Ashish Jha of Harvard University has said that three vaccines have given good results against a corona virus infection in a trial, one of which will be ready by early next year.

Professor Ashish Jha has claimed this in a video conference with Congress party leader Rahul Gandhi.

Professor Ashish said, "The initial results of the vaccine trials in the United States, China and Britain are good. It is to be expected that by the beginning of next year, one of these vaccines will prove effective in the prevention of Covid-19. India should prepare a plan for how they should get this vaccine for their people.''

Professor Ashish is the director of Harvard Global Health Institute and has done a lot of work on public health.

When Rahul Gandhi asked Professor Ashish whether the BCG vaccine was helpful? And can the corona virus go dormant in high heat? So he replied, "BCG vaccine can be helpful." There are some indications of this, but based on these, nothing can be said in a concrete way. Regarding heat, it is not yet seen that heat has had any effect on this virus. But it has been observed that the risk of infection in open space is less than in closed space.''

Professor Ashish said that it is possible to stop Covid-19 only by increasing the number of tests, the faster the infected people are detected, the sooner efforts will be made to stop it.

However, Rahul Gandhi told him that some senior officials have told him that doing more tests means scaring people with the disease.

Rahul Gandhi said, "When I asked some senior officials why the testing numbers are low?" So he argued that if we do more tests, people will be more afraid. People will be scared. But he says this unofficially.''

For the past few days, Rahul Gandhi has been discussing video calls with respected people from different fields. Recently, he had discussed the Covid-19 crisis with former RBI Governor Raghuram Rajan and the Nobel Prize winner Abhijeet Banerjee.
