The UN Security Council held an informal meeting on Friday on the removal of Article 370 from Kashmir in India. This informal meeting was held after a letter written by Pakistan.

The meeting was held in a closed room but after the meeting ended, the ambassadors of India, China and Pakistan at the United Nations spoke to reporters.

India's Ambassador to the United Nations Syed Akbaruddin said that the issue of Article 370 is an internal issue and has nothing to do with outsiders. He said that the recent decision of the Government of India is for the economic, social development there.

He said that many decisions have been taken today to normalize the situation in Jammu and Kashmir. During this time Akbaruddin also targeted Pakistan. He said that a country is talking about jihad and violence and violence cannot solve any issue.

Akbaruddin said that if Pakistan wants to talk to India then it must first stop terrorism.

Salim Rizvi, a correspondent at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, told BBC Hindi that the Chinese ambassador has said that the Security Council countries have acknowledged that the issue should be resolved peacefully and decisions should not be taken one way.

At the same time, China has said that it believes that this issue should be resolved under the UN resolution and a very dangerous situation is going to happen in Kashmir.

After the meeting, Chinese Ambassador to the United Nations Zhang Jun said that the member countries are also concerned about the human rights situation there.

He said, "The Secretary-General also issued a statement a few days ago. And based on what I have heard the discussion of the Security Council meeting, the members have expressed serious concerns about the current situation in Jammu and Kashmir." '

He said, "They are also concerned about the human rights situation there. And it is also the general opinion of the members that the concerned party should avoid taking any one-sided step which increases the tension further. Because the tension is already too much there And it is very dangerous.

During this time China also raised the issue of Ladakh. He said that Article 370 has also withdrawn from Ladakh and considers it an attack on its sovereignty.

At the same time, Pakistan has said that it has internationalized the Kashmir issue. Pakistan Ambassador Maliha Lodhi said that after several decades the issue has come up in the UN Security Council and after having risen on this platform, it has been proved that it is not an internal matter of India but an international matter.

Maliha said, "I think that today's meeting has rejected India's claim that Jammu and Kashmir is its internal matter. As the Chinese Ambassador emphasized the human rights situation in Jammu and Kashmir, there is human rights The situation is very bad and India is violating them unabashedly. This is also discussed by the Security Council today.

Pakistan and India did not attend this meeting as these two countries are not members of the UN Security Council.
