Congress leader in India Supriya Shrinate has retaliated on the statement of BJP leader and Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi.

On the morning of Tuesday, July 18, 2023, Narendra Modi called the opposition gathering in Bengaluru a convention of corrupt people.

Supriya Shrinate tweeted, "PM Modi's language and statements are proof of his fear. After being in power for 9 years, Modi ji doesn't have the guts to ask for votes for his work."

"Even today, they are spewing venom against the opposition and making unwarranted allegations. How dare the Prime Minister, under whose nose the country's biggest Adani scam has happened, open his mouth on corruption?"

“The Prime Minister who, after drinking water, curses some leaders of the opposition on corruption and then breaks the party and includes them in his government after a few hours, is a living proof of double standards.”

"Your vendetta-motivated cases are also as fake and baseless as your words, and Modi ji will definitely tell you one thing, thumping his chest, he used to shout 'Ek Akela Ek Akela', so now why is there a need for 38 others?"

What did Modi say?

At the inauguration of the new terminal of Veer Savarkar International Airport in Port Blair, PM Modi said, "Some people responsible for India's plight have opened their shops and sat down."

PM Modi said, "It is very fitting for the political parties to be 26 for 2024 that these people are singing something, condition is something, label is something and the goods are something... Two things are guaranteed at their shop. They sell the poison of casteism at their shop and do other unlimited corruption. These days these people are busy in Bengaluru."

He said, "When these people come in a frame in front of the camera, the first thought that comes to the mind of the people of the country is corruption worth lakhs of crores of rupees. That's why the people of the country are saying that this is a hardcore corruption conference."

Modi said, "Another special feature of this meeting is that if someone is out on bail in a multi-crore scam, he is looked upon with great respect. If the entire family is out on bail, it is more for him."

Tuesday, 18 July 2023 is the second day of the opposition meeting in Bengaluru. 26 political parties participated in this meeting.

On the other hand, a meeting of NDA alliance is also being held in Delhi, in which 38 political parties are involved.
