Violence Against Dalits in Gujarat

In Gujarat, a case of the beating of a Dalit family allegedly brutally by some upper caste people has emerged. Here again an attempt has been made to repeat the case like Una case.

According to the news of the Times of India, some people of the upper castes, who had allegedly naked a dalit woman and her son, and then beat them badly by the cane in Kassor village of Sojitra taluka of Anand district of Gujarat.

The case is being told on Saturday 12th of August. In the incident, the crowd of victim Maniben (45) and Shailesh Rohit (21) beat with sticks and abused. In this incident, the people of the Darbar (Cshatriya) community of the village are being told the hand.

According to the media report, Maniben and her son Shailesh work to take away the dead body skin of dead cattle. Police have registered a case under section 323, 506 (2) and SC-ST act of IPC.

Explain that one year ago, four Dalits were brutally beaten up in take away skins of dead cow in Una. In protest, the Dalits had put dead cows in front of government offices in Gujarat. There were demonstrations in protest against this incident across India including Gujarat.
