Vinesh Phogat has been disqualified before the final match of the wrestling event of the Paris Olympics.
Vinesh Phogat has been disqualified for the final match of the Paris Olympics after she was found to be overweight. Vinesh Phogat's weight was found to be 100 grams more than the prescribed weight.
The Indian Olympic Association issued a statement saying, "With great regret, the Indian team has to inform that Vinesh Phogat has been excluded from the 50 kg weight category.
Despite the team's overnight efforts, Vinesh Phogat's weight was found to be 100 grams more than 50 kg."
The Indian Olympic Association has said that the Indian team will not give any further response on this. The Indian team requests you to respect the privacy of Vinesh Phogat.
