US releases Saudi Guantanamo prisoner Ahmed al-Darbi
03 May 2018 ( IBTN News Bureau )The United States has released its first prisoner from the Guantanamo Bay detention centre under President Donald Trump.
The US military says Ahmed al-Darbi's transfer to Saudi Arabia is part of a 2014 plea deal to serve out the remainder of his sentence there.
Al Jazeera's Shihab Rattansi reports.
