Ration scandal exposed in Delhi, Kejriwal suspended food commissioner

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday ordered to suspend the Food Commissioner of Delhi after getting the alleged irregularities in the ration system.

Food Minister Imran Hussain of Delhi said in a press conference that the order of suspension of food commissioner has been sent to lieutenant governor Anil Baijal. Imran Hussain said that on Tuesday night, we went to a ration shop in Nangloi and found that despite the receipt of ration by the shopkeeper, wheat and rice were missing from the stock.

According to the news agency PTI, he said that 152 quintals of wheat and 38 quintals of rice were sent to the shop, which was to be distributed in December. The minister said that he suspected the scam after which he immediately sent a report to the Chief Minister in this regard.

Imran Hussain told reporters that after which the Chief Minister ordered the suspension of Food Commissioner with immediate effect. Copy of this order has also been sent to LG.
