Pulwama terror attack: 44 CRPF martyrs

In Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district on Thursday, a terrorist from Jaish-e-Mohammed hit the bus carrying the CRPF jawans from vehicles carrying explosives, in which 44 jawans were killed. The News Agency Bhasha has released news from the authorities that it was the worst terror attack since the Uri attack in 2016.

2547 personnel of the Central Reserve Police Force were going in a convoy of 78 vehicles. Most of them were returning to their work after spending their holidays. The convoy was attacked and ambushed by the ambush on the Jammu-Kashmir highway in Avantipora area. The police has identified the terrorist as Adil Ahmed of Pulwama's Kakapora. He told that Ahmed joined Jaish-e-Mohammed in 2018. The number of casualties is expected to increase. He told that Jaish-e-Mohammed took responsibility for the incident. The attack has happened about 30 kilometers away from Srinagar.

CRPF Director General R R Bhatnagar told PTI and Bhasha, "It was a huge convoy and about 2500 security personnel were going in various vehicles. Some bullets were also run on the convoy. India's PM Modi has condemned the terrorist attack on the CRPF convoy in Pulwama. They said that the sacrifice of our brave soldiers will not be in vain.

Following the Pulwama terror attack, the Cabinet Committee on Security Affairs will meet on Friday. Other members include Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Rajnath Singh and others. This meeting is likely to be at 9.15 pm.
