US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has stopped Saudi Arabia from being added to a list of countries that recruit child soldiers.
It goes against a State Department recommendation, based on reports the kingdom hired Sudanese children to fight for the US-backed coalition in Yemen.
The report is part of a global human trafficking survey the US compiles every year and comes as bipartisan Congress members move to stops an arms sale to Saudi Arabia.
