Amidst ongoing joint exercises with China, Pakistan said that it successfully tested the anti-ship missile with the Sea King helicopter in the North Arabian Sea on Saturday.
An official statement said that anti-ship missile successfully distinguished their goal.
According to the Pakistani Navy spokesman, Navy Chief Admiral Muhammad Zakaulla witnessed this missile test and he said that successful test is a proof of the Pakistani Navy's war preparedness and professional ability.
The Naval Chief also visited the naval units stationed in the sea and observed the naval fleet related exercises.
Zakaulla said, "I am proud to see the war preparations of the Pakistani Navy fleet."
He said that the Navy will protect the maritime borders and Pakistan's interests at any cost.
Pilots of Chinese and Pakistani Air Force sat in the same plane to test the missile, in which both were done the joint exercises a day earlier.
Xinhua said that it is a symbol of deep mutual trust between the two armies. During a joint exercise called 'Shaheen 6', the Air Force personnel collaborated in formulating strategy and implementing them, as well as learned strategic principles and strategies from each other.
Earlier in March, the Navy successfully tested the anti-ship missile. This test was done from the coastal area and the missile had a target in the sea.
The Pakistani Navy received seven additional Westland Sea King helicopters from Britain in May, whose contract was given in 2016.
