The Pakistani army has claimed that it has killed two Indian fighters.
Pakistan Army spokesman Major General Asif Ghafoor tweeted that the Pakistani Air Force had killed two Indian fighters who entered the Pakistani airspace.
Major General Asif Ghafur tweeted, "In response to the attack of Pakistani Air Force this morning, Indian Air Force crossed the Indo-Pak Line of Control (LoC). Pakistani air force dropped two Indian aircraft inside the Pakistani airspace."
"One plane fell in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, while the second was in Indian occupied Kashmir. An Indian pilot has been arrested."
Although this claim of Pakistani army has not been confirmed by any independent source yet.
On the other hand, Pakistan's Foreign Ministry spokesman Dr Mohammad Faisal has said that "Pakistan Air Force has been bombarded on the other side of the Line of Control by staying inside the air border. However, this was not a counter-action act done on India's move."
Therefore, Pakistan targeted a non-military target, so that there is no loss of human life and no collateral damage. Its purpose was to show its right to self-defense, willpower and ability. We do not intend to increase this confrontation, but we are fully prepared if forced. That is why we have done this strike with warning and in the day."
According to news agencies PTI and Reuters, Pakistan's fighter aircraft entered the Indian Air Border on Wednesday, the day after the Balakot attack.
According to the agency, Pakistani aircraft have entered the Nowshera sector of Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir.
According to the news agency PTI, Indian aircraft forced Pakistani aircraft to escape, after which they fled towards Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
On Tuesday, India had talked of targeting Jaish-e-Mohammed's hideouts in Balakot, Pakistan.
Indian Foreign Secretary Vijay Gokhale had said that the IAF has crossed the Line of Control after the intelligence and destroyed Jaish-e-Mohammed's largest camp.
Vijay Gokhale had said, "Reliable information was found that Jaish-e-Mohammed was preparing for a suicide attack in other parts of the country and for this the fidayeen jihadis were being trained."
"In order to prevent any possible attack, counter-response was absolutely necessary. On Tuesday, India targeted Jaish' largest training camp in Balakot."
Jihad's extremists, trainers, senior commanders and jihadists who are taking training there have been eliminated in this campaign. In particular, only Jaish camp was targeted, and special attention was taken that the common people should not be ensnared.
In response to this claim of India, Pakistan had said that the Indian aircraft had entered Pakistani airspace, but Indian aircraft had fled in response to the Pakistani air force and had gone barking some payloads of bombardment near Balakot.
Pakistan also said that they will give a cautious reply to this move of India.
