Mumbai's Rain: Record Broken for 12 years; Water Rushed into the Hospital, Train Tracks also Sink

Due to the continuous rains in Mumbai, the problems of the common people are increasing. Due to rain from Saturday (August 26), water is flooded in other places, including many streets of the city.

Water is flooded at King Edward Hospital, Parel, although all patients are safe.

The traffic of local trains has also been affected due to water logging on some train stations.

The Mumbai Police has urged people to tweet that if they get stuck somewhere, they can call on 100 or ask for help immediately on Twitter.

At the same time, the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has advised the citizens that if they are stuck in the water reservoir and their vehicle closes, then they should not try to start it again.

NDMA has always advised the public to charge their mobile, use the message (SMS) instead of phone calls and go to higher places.

Due to excessive rain, water has been stored in the city. Due to rain, common life and traffic is interrupted. Rainfall in Mumbai has broken records of more than a decade.

It is being described as the heaviest and longest rain since July 26, 2005. With the #MumbaiRains hashtag on social media, common citizens are sharing pictures and videos related to rain.

Some people seem to enjoy rain, so many people are making public the difficulties that are causing this.

It is a matter of concern that according to the Meteorological Department, there is no scope for rain in the city at least for the next 24 hours.

According to the Meteorological Department, Tuesday (August 29) can get tide near 4.30 in the evening. High waves are rising in the ocean due to rain. The common people are advised not to go to the banks of the sea during the tide.

Mumbai traffic police have issued guidelines for the common people due to the problem arising due to the rains.

On Tuesday, industrialist Anand Mahindra tweeted the comparison of Mumbai's rain with the cyclone. Mahindra said in the tweet that he was going to Delhi for the India-Australia meeting, but due to the rain, he canceled the plan of the air travel.

Mahindra wrote, "I told my Australian friends that I am inside the water in Mumbai."

The Regional Meteorological Department recorded 102 mm rains from 8 a.m. on August 27 to 8 a.m. on August 28 in the morning. During this, 63.75 mm of rain in Mumbai's Worli, 78.21 mm in Baiqula, 90.63 mm in Bhandup and 111.96 mm in Vikroli.

On Monday (August 28) from 8.30 am to 2.30 pm, Colaba had 35.8 mm rain and Santacruz had 28.6 mm rainfall. Due to the rain the city has been stuck in many places. On Monday, there was more rain in southern Mumbai.

With the arrival of a monsoon in Mumbai, the issue of potholes on the roads came into the headlines. When a radio jockey launched a campaign against these pits, the Shiv Sena, controlled by the BMC, opposed it.
