Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi on Thursday met the families of the farmers killed in the Farmer movement. 4 families of 5 people killed in police firing in the movement met the Congress Vice President.

To meet Rahul, Congress workers had reached Chittorgarh district of Rajasthan with the family of farmers.

Rahul Gandhi was going to Mandsaur to meet the family of farmers today. But before that Rahul and Congress workers were taken into custody.

When prevented from going to Mandsaur, Rahul Gandhi targeted the BJP government in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh and demanded martyr status for the farmers killed in agitation for the debt waiver.

He said that the farmer's family is demanding it and we support it.

According to the ANI, Rahul Gandhi said, "I wanted to say to the farmers only two minutes from the family that we are with you, but I have not been given permission. I just wanted to share their pain. Am I not a citizen of this country? Did not I let go in Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and BJP ruled states just because I do not belong to the RSS."

Hitting the Modi Government, Congress Vice President said that these farmers have forgotten and only remember to forgive the debt of 50 nobles of the country. The farmer in the country is crying for help, but the government is not ready to listen to him. Issue of loan waiver of farmers will be raised in Parliament.

Rahul Gandhi accused the Shivraj Singh Chauhan government of lying on the issue of killing people in police firing. He said action should be taken against the security personnel involved in the shootout. Farmers were not warned and they were shot in their chest violating the operation process. This is a barbaric event. Those who have died should be given martyr status.

Explain that since June 1, farmers were protesting for demand of pay to proper price of crop and the debt forgiveness at several places including Mandsaur in Madhya Pradesh. On Tuesday, 5 farmers died in police firing, after which protests took a fierce form and farmers handed over more than 100 vehicles to the fire. Not only this, the police station also blew up.
