Kerala flood: To bring the state back on track is a very challenging task

The situation of devastation caused by heavy rains and terrible floods in Kerala is that even now the water is decreasing, but it will take years for the people of Kerala to get out of this calamity. It will take some time to implement the important steps that will be taken to reduce the impact of waste and normalize the normal life.

The districts most affected by floods are Idukki, Malappuram, Kottayam and Ernakulam. The Government of Kerala estimates that it has caused a loss of around Rs 20,000 crore. Government officials say that the priority of the state is to save people and provide relief material to the millions of affected people. However, he believed that it is a very challenging task to bring the state back on track.

When Chief Minister Pinarai Vijayan asked about his plan to rebuild on Monday, he said, "The hard days are yet to come." He said, "More than one million people are in relief camps and at this time they are our priority. We are estimating loss of lives."
 
Government estimates that about one lakh buildings in which people's homes are included and 10 thousand kilometers of highways and roads have been wasted. Whereas, hundreds of bridges flooded into floods and millions of hectares of crops were devastated. The official said that after completion of relief and rescue work the government will start the process of correct assessment of the loss.
