India became Under-16 SAFF champion

On Sunday, 10 September 2023, the Indian football team became the champion by defeating Bangladesh 2-0 in the final match of SAFF Under-16 Championship Football.
For India, Bharat Larenjam scored the first goal in the eighth minute of the match.
In the 74th minute, Lewis Zangminlun scored on a brilliant pass from Samson Ahongshangbam to put India ahead 2-0.
With this, India won this championship for the fifth time.
