India and Indonesia signed 15 contracts including defense cooperation agreement

India and Indonesia have renewed their defense cooperation agreement today and signed 15 contracts for cooperation in various fields including space, railways, science and technology, health today. Among these, six agreements were held between various government and non-governmental organizations. The announcement of the creation of a 'sahodar state' of Indonesia's Bali and India's Uttarakhand states was also announced.

These agreements were signed in a bilateral summit between India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Joao vinho of Indonesia. The two countries also released a separate shared Sight letter on this occasion, joint statement and on Indo-Indonesia maritime cooperation.

In Jakarta, Modi condemned the recent terrorist attacks in Indonesia in a joint press conference with the President of Indonesia and said that on the occasion of this misery and challenges India is standing side by side with Indonesia.
