Emergency declared in another area of Russia amid Ukrainian attacks

The governor of Belgorod, Russia has announced an emergency in this area. Belgorod is the second region of Russia to impose an emergency within the last 10 days.
On August 6, 2024, Ukraine suddenly intensified attacks on Russian areas and has claimed that it has entered 1000 square kilometers inside the Kursk region of Russia's border.
In view of the ongoing action of Ukraine, the governor of Belgorod has declared an emergency.
Meanwhile, the Ukrainian Air Force has said that it has shot down 17 out of 23 drones fired by Russia overnight. Ukraine has said that the Russian army also fired two guided missiles.
According to the Ukrainian Air Force, these drones have been shot down in Kiev, Kharkiv, Cherkasy, Myoclav, Sumy, Zaporizhia, Zhytomyr areas.
Some buildings have been damaged by these drones but there is no information about more damage than this.
The Governor of Belgorod has said that due to the daily bombing by Ukraine, houses are being destroyed and common people are losing their lives.
Ukraine claims that it has captured 74 towns and villages of Russia.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has claimed that his country's army is advancing from several directions in the Kursk region of Russia.
Zelensky wrote in a post on the social media platform X, "Our army has advanced one to two kilometers in Kursk from several directions."
However, the BBC has not been able to confirm this independently. It is not yet known how much land of Russian territory the Ukrainian army has captured.
In the picture shared by Zelensky on X, he is seen talking to Ukraine's top commander Alexander Sirsky.
