Asaduddin Owaisi Said, Breaking the Mosque, Dargah and Graveyard is Illegal and Arbitrary

Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM) has condemned the demolition of the mosque. Earlier, on Sunday, the Masjid-e-Ali located in Eidpugal in the Kanipuda division of Krishna district had demolished by the revenue officials of Andhra Pradesh government.

MIM president Asaduddin Owaisi said, "It is illegal and arbitrary to destroy the mosque, dargah and graveyard in the name of widening the road."

He said, "No mosque can be moved and removed because it is the property of Allah. Even the person making the mosque does not have the right to shift or demolish the mosque.

According to the report of the Deccan Chronicle, Owaisi alleged that since May 2016, revenue officials demolished mosques, dargahs and cemeteries arbitrarily. Years old Masjid-e-Abu Bakar, Hazrat Shah Zahur Musafir Dargah, Tarapet Masjid and Janetul Firdous Cemetery were demolished."

He said that it is a complete violation of laws for the protection of religious places. The request of Andhra Pradesh State Waqf Board and the protest of local Muslims has been ignored.

Owaisi said, "In this regard, he wrote a letter to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu against the action of revenue officials on religious places in the May 2016 and May 2017.

On Sunday, Owaisi had met Andhra Pradesh Chief Secretary Dinesh Kumar and demanded the Andhra Pradesh government to stop the Muslim shrines from being demolish.

He also demanded action against the revenue officials.

Owaisi has demanded the reconstruction of mosques, dargahs and cemeteries that have been demolished.
