Another incident of encounter between the Indian Army and terrorists has taken place in Anantnag, Jammu and Kashmir, India on Saturday, August 10, 2024.
According to news agencies ANI and PTI, "Two Indian Army personnel have died in this encounter in Anantnag. At the same time, three soldiers have been injured. The military operation is still going on.''
Posting from its official X handle, Kashmir Zone Police wrote, "An encounter has started in Ahlan Gagarmandu area of Anantnag district. Police and security forces are engaged in work.''
Posting from its official X handle, Chinar Corps of the Indian Army wrote, "Two civilians have also been injured due to indiscriminate firing by terrorists in the ongoing military operation. They have been provided immediate medical assistance. The military operation is ongoing.''
According to another post of Chinar Corps, "Based on specific intelligence input, today Indian Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police and CRPF launched a joint operation in Kokernag area of Anantnag. Two soldiers have also been injured in the firing.''
However, the Indian Army has not shared information about the death of any soldier.
In recent times, there have been many encounters between the Indian Army and terrorists in which many Indian soldiers have also lost their lives.
