Amnesty: Almost 1,000 prisoners executed worldwide in 2017
12 Apr 2018 ( IBTN News Bureau )Amnesty International says 2017 saw a significant drop in the number of death sentences issued around the world.
A new report also says more African states are abolishing the death penalty altogether.
But, says Amnesty, there are still hundreds being executed worldwide without a fair trial.
